After leaving the Marine Corps in 1967, Mr. Petteys became a commercial pilot with United Air Lines. He earned an MBA from USC in 1972 while performing his normal flight duties.
He is married, has four children, three adult step-children, four grandchildren and another on the way. He resides in the Rocky Mountains and is a Research Associate with the Independence Institute of Golden, Colorado.
